Terms of Service

Welcome to StillHere: Keep in Touch (the "App"). These Terms of Service ("Terms") are an agreement between you and StillHere ("we," "us," or "our"). By using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the App.
What StillHere Does
StillHere is a daily check-in app. Owners check in once a day to let their watchers (family and friends) know they're OK. If an owner misses their check-in, watchers receive push notification alerts. The App relies on push notifications to function — it's how we keep everyone connected.
Accounts
To use StillHere, you need to create an account using Apple Sign-In, Google Sign-In, or an email and password. You're responsible for keeping your account secure and for all activity that happens under your account.
You must be at least 13 years old to use the App. By creating an account, you confirm that you meet this age requirement.
Subscriptions and Payments
StillHere offers two roles: Owners and Watchers.
- Watchers use the App for free. You can receive alerts and monitor your loved ones at no cost.
- Owners need a paid subscription to check in daily and manage their circle of watchers.
Owner subscription plans:
- Monthly — $2.99/month
- Annual — $19.99/year
Both plans include a 7-day free trial. You won't be charged during the trial period. If you don't cancel before the trial ends, your subscription will automatically renew and you'll be charged.
Subscriptions are processed through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store. Billing, renewals, and cancellations are managed through your device's app store settings — not through StillHere directly. Refund requests should be directed to Apple or Google.
How to Use StillHere (Acceptable Use)
We ask that you use StillHere responsibly. You agree not to:
- Use the App for any purpose other than genuine daily check-ins and safety monitoring.
- Create fake accounts, impersonate others, or misuse invite codes.
- Attempt to interfere with, disrupt, or reverse-engineer the App.
- Use the App to harass, stalk, or monitor someone without their knowledge and consent.
- Violate any applicable laws while using the App.
StillHere is built on trust between family and friends. We expect everyone to use it in that spirit.
Push Notifications
Push notifications are essential to how StillHere works. If you disable push notifications, you (and your watchers) may not receive important alerts. We strongly recommend keeping notifications enabled while using the App.
Availability and Reliability
We do our best to keep StillHere running smoothly, but we can't guarantee uninterrupted service. The App may be temporarily unavailable due to maintenance, updates, or circumstances beyond our control.
Important: StillHere is not an emergency service or a substitute for calling 911 or other emergency services. If you believe someone is in immediate danger, please contact local emergency services directly.
Limitation of Liability
StillHere is provided "as is" and "as available." To the fullest extent permitted by law:
- We are not liable for any missed notifications, delayed alerts, or service interruptions.
- We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the App.
- Our total liability for any claim related to the App is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
Your Content and Data
You retain ownership of the information you provide to StillHere. By using the App, you grant us a limited license to use your data solely to operate and improve the App. See our Privacy Policy for full details on how we handle your data.
Termination
You can stop using StillHere at any time by deleting your account. We may also suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms or if we need to for legal or security reasons. If we terminate your account, we'll make reasonable efforts to notify you.
To delete your account and data, visit our account deletion page or email hello@joinstillhere.com.
Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make significant changes, we'll let you know through the App or by email. Continued use of the App after changes take effect means you accept the new Terms.
Governing Law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States. Any disputes will be resolved in accordance with applicable law.
